2.4 Creating Questions/Assessments
The following instructions will go over the basics of creating a question from scratch. If you want to use questions made by others as-is, see 1.6 Importing Questions. If you want to modify questions created by others or edit your own questions, see 2.5 Cloning Questions Created by Others.
Advanced help for questions is coming soon when Module 3 is released.
Creating a New Question
You can create questions in from inside an assignment or from your "My Questions" area (accessed through the dashboard). The latter will have all of , which will have all of the questions you have created, which can be organized within folders. These steps follow creating questions within an assignment.
- Click on your assignment and select the New Question tab.
- Some text entry fields will be auto-populated based on your ADAPT account settings. Other areas must be filled out by you. If you are uncertain about the meaning of any text entry fields, hover over the question mark to get a short description. It might take some time to understand how to best customize your settings. For further guidance, you are encouraged to watch the video tutorial included on this page and to attend one of the twice-weekly office hours sessions offered by LibreTexts Links to an external site.. This is also the area where you can select a folder in which to store this question or create a new folder.
- Scroll to the bottom where you can preview and save the question. It will be stored in the folder you indicated in step two and in the assignment from which you created it.
- If you want to edit your question, locate it in the assignment or the corresponding "My Questions folder" and select the pencil icon. Detailed instructions on how to edit a question are available in 2.5 Cloning and Editing Questions.
