1.6 Importing Questions


There are currently more than 200,000 questions in ADAPT and new questions are being added and created every day. Page 1.3 gives an overview of previewing questions. This page will cover searching for questions, adding questions to your favorites, and adding questions to an assignment. Creating new assignments and questions is covered in Module 2: ADAPT for Intermediate Users.


Searching for Questions

Go to "Search Questions" (under the blue Dashboard button) to search for questions using a variety of filters and keywords including:

  1. Class: defaults to "any," or you can select one of the following:
    1. Question: A prompt that requires an answer
    2. Exposition: A prompt that contains content like a video or picture
    3. Report: This is not currently in use. It's a place holder for a future feature
  2. Content: Defaults to "either type," or you can select one of the following:
    1. Auto-graded: Questions that are automatically graded by the software
    2. Open-ended: Questions that are graded by a human
  3. Technology: Defaults to "any," or you can select one of the following:
    1. WeBWork: Typically used for equations for math and Science
    2. IMathAS: Questions imported from MyOpenMath Links to an external site.
    3. H5P: Interactive questions created in LibreTexts Studio Links to an external site. (these may have accessibility concerns)
    4. Native: Refers to questions created in ADAPT
    5. Open-ended: Questions that require students to fill in the answer
  4. ADAPT ID: Every question has a unique ID number
  5. Title: The name of the question
  6. Author: Creator of the question
  7. Tag(s): Any potential tags the author has added to the question
  8. Once you have entered your search criteria, click Update Results to see questions that fall within your desired parameters
