If Your Course Is in Review with CDA
If you haven't done so yet, we strongly recommend going through the self-paced "ABCs of Online Course Design" to familiarize yourself with the OEI Course Design Rubric.
Once your course review is done, you'll join a Review Results call with the Lead Reviewer and your OEI instructional designer to discuss the feedback offered.
Then you'll partner with your ID to move any Incomplete items over to the Aligned category. (Many Course Design Academy participants have said this was like a well-deserved Spring Cleaning for their course.) It's recommended that you set aside at least 2-4 hours a week to work on your course. While the exact time frame for completion will depend on your situation, most instructors bring their courses fully into Alignment in 4-6 weeks.
The End Result
Instructors who've gone through the review process consistently echo the sentiments of Scott Davis (Coastline College): "The OEI Course Review was the best professional development for online teaching that I've received." We'll do all we can to make sure this is your experience as well.
