Foster Youth
Overview
Students who were formerly in the foster care system, or who still are in the foster care system, have extra support on all college campuses across California. Each California Community College has at least one Foster Youth Liaison. The Foster Youth Liaison is responsible for connecting foster youth students to many valuable resources.
Did you know that qualifying foster youth students may be eligible for the following benefits?
- Priority registration for classes at any California Community College (eligibility requirements apply)
- Chafee grant: up to $5,000 per year of FREE money for college (eligibility requirements apply)
