Financial Aid
There are several ways to get financial help for school if you need it. Visit your school’s financial aid office to learn about fee waivers, loans, grants, scholarships, and more that may be available to you. Check out the College Promise Program - free tuition for many students.
Academic Achievement and Tutoring Centers
Check your campus for where you can find peer assisted support such as tutoring, supplemental instruction, and help with writing and formatting papers. College peers who have excelled in a particular subject area are selected by faculty to tutor.
Student Center
Some community college have a student center where you can go for free printing and computer use, bbq’s, workshops, activities, and club meetings.
Online Services
There are a number of online services available to students such as tutoring, counseling, and tech support. Every online student has access to tutoring services through Net Tutor. There are also tech services available through Canvas and/or your college website. Virtual counseling appointments are available through certain community colleges. Check out your college’s online services or student services webpage to find out if you have access to these resources.
Student Health Services
Student health and wellness should be a priority among college students, but is often put on the back burner because college is a crazy time. Check out your college’s Student Health Center to see which services are available to you. Many services are free and include physical, mental and social care. Certain services, such as mental health counseling, may be available virtually online.
