Arguments for God's Existence
Overview:
St. Thomas Aquinas was nicknamed the "Dumb Ox" because of his looks and because of his shy and slow manner. Later, however, he became a "doctor of the Church" and is known as one of the world's greatest theologians. In this week's reading, he examines five arguments for God's existence. Pay close attention to the first four arguments (the fifth argument will be covered in more detail next week).

After this module, you should be able to:
- Explain the arguments for God's existence.
- Analyze the arguments put forth by Aquinas.
- Debate the ideas presented by Aquinas.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the way philosophers look at the existence of God.
