NameCoach: The Student, Faculty & Staff Experience in Canvas and Student Information System (SIS)

With support from CVC-OEI, your college can integrate NameCoach into your local instance of Canvas . Once this is done, students can easily record their name and share it with peers and instructors through the NameCoach link in the course navigation menu. The option to include a preferred honorific (Ms., Mr., Instructor, etc.) and pronoun is also provided. Recording can be done on a computer with a microphone or with a smartphone. If students are on a device without a microphone, they may have NameCoach call a phone number to record their name.

NameCoach can also be integrated into the Student Information System. Once the integration is completed staff can have access to NameCoach within the various student services areas, to include, counseling, financial aid, helpdesk, tutoring, etc. With the assistance of CVC-OEI NameCoach can be a part of your student services today.
