Wellness Central Guide

HSACCC’s goal is to provide a customizable Canvas template for all 115 CCC’s to adopt. Therefore, any college that has been linking to Wellness Central via the cvc.edu site will now have the opportunity to establish their own version of this wonderful service.  e.g. Wellness Central by (insert college name).

 

Please Take Note of the Following, in this Canvas shell:

 

1.     Colleges are provided with instructions for setting up their own Wellness Central in your college’s Canvas account. Canvas Admins are expected to work closely with their health and wellness colleagues to ensure that colleges can provide this valuable resource to students.  Wellness Central is also available in Canvas Commons for download.

 

2.     All the health and wellness resources are already built out, Canvas Administrators are only required to upload the file into Canvas per the instructions.  You are not expected to modify or required to add content. Once college have created their own copy of Wellness Central, Canvas Admin/Tech. support will have the ability to update contact information, fix broken links etc. 

 

3.     Once colleges adopt Wellness Central in their Canvas instance and if they choose to add content they have the responsibility of meeting the Standard Accessibility guidelines WCAG 2.1 AA.  The CVC-OEI and HSACCC will not maintain any individual college instance of Wellness Central. 

 

4.     In light of current circumstances surrounding the COVID19, coronavirus, “the Cold and Flu” module has been updated to include important information from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the California Department of Public Health.
