Description of course

The Distance Education Coordinators' Course (DEC 101) is designed to be both a resource for existing Distance Education Coordinators (DECs) in the California Community College (CCC) system, as well as an introduction to the role of DECs and some of the typical responsibilities found in the position. The course may also be useful to others who wish to further their understanding of distance education within the context of the CCC system.

Overall course concepts

At the present time, this course is designed to be a self-paced learning experience and continuing resource. Guests can start at any time, may complete all modules or only select modules, and can move through the resources in any order. All guests have access to the discussions, and are encouraged to contribute relevant information and materials.
