Discipline Wide Collaboration

Many people in the child development and early childhood education disciplines are interested in developing and using OER. See below for a few of the ways that collaboration has been initiated and is being sustained. While much of this work predates the ASCCC OERI and was funded by other sources, the OERI is pleased to support these efforts.

Google Group

Check out the collection of ECE OER/ZTC resources being curated in the ECE OER/ZTC Collaboration google group. Have something to add? Simply send a request to join after you enter the group. Please note that you will have to be the quality control check for any materials that have been shared for the group. Some materials are openly licensed (so free to be remixed and reused) and some are resources that are copyrighted but could provide valuable course content at no cost to students. If you have any questions about the materials shared in the group you can direct them to Jennifer Paris.

Email List

Amanda Taintor and Jennifer Paris maintain an email list that they use to communicate about events and information about OER. If you are not already on the email list, please email either of them to be added.

ECE OER/ZTC Conversations

To keep the discussions about OER open, Amanda Taintor hosts conversations about OER for one of the courses on the second and fourth Wednesdays at noon (PT) using Zoom video conferencing. Registration information is sent to the above email list.
