There is currently no fully developed OER text-equivalent for this course. The following are some additional resources that faculty can use to teach the course. - Introduction to Childhood Studies Links to an external site. This OER textbook by Dr. Susan Eliason supports a speaking-intensive course that introduces students to key concepts (including: historical and contemporary definitions of childhood, rights and responsibilities during childhood, influences of family, society, and culture, and the impact of the environment, education, economy, and political conditions) in the study of childhood from multidisciplinary perspectives. - Foundations and Current Issues of Early Childhood Education Links to an external site.
