The ASCCC Open Educational Resources Initiative (OERI)

The OERI  Structure and Development

The ASCCC OERI was funded in trailer bill language during the summer of 2018. Preparations for its launch were made during the fall 2018 term and this state-wide faculty-led effort had its kick-off with a webinar on February 1, 2019. This page will serve as a collection of resources related to the structure and development of the OERI.
Download The Proposal The original "CCCOERI" proposal reflects the ASCCC OER Task Force's vision for the OERI. The original name was set aside as the CCCOER Links to an external site. (Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources) is already well-established. It should also be noted that some elements of the proposal are unrealistic - while the OERI can strive to make OER more attractive to faculty and more "adoptable", it is up to individual faculty to make the choice to choose OER.
