- SB 1359 requires CCCs to designate “no cost” course sections in their online schedule. We'll look at the requirements of the bill, discuss the intentions and implications of this requirement, and look at how colleges across the state have implemented this. What does it mean to be “compliant” with SB 1359?

This session will explore existing data that can be employed - and discuss the data that you can gather locally. Can you document the impact of OER on student success? We think so - let’s discuss the how.

Wednesday, December 4, 1:00 pm: Establishing an OER Committee/Task Force/Work group at Your College (Links to an external site.)

- This session provides information and resources to help colleges implement an OER Committee, Taskforce, or Workgroup on their campuses. The webinar presents an OER leadership framework built around three sustainability components: infrastructure, resources, and culture. When guided and implemented as a coordinated system of integrated activities by a campus OER Committee or leadership group, the framework positions colleges to sustain OER well beyond their current state or grant funding initiatives.

Learn about the differences OER can make for all students, especially those that are historically under-served by the higher education system. - This webinar will discuss strategies to help you identify if a resource is accessible. It will include a discussion of basic things to look for as well as online accessibility checker tools. This webinar is designed for OER Liaisons, but is open to all.
- Monday, April 8, 1:00pm: A Critical Collaboration – Working with your Bookstore to Make OER Available Archived Webinar Links to an external site.
- Adopting OER is only one step in making such resources available to students. When, where, and how are students informed about accessing OER course resources? Collaborating with the bookstore can help us inform students about digital requirements, print options, and the availability of other course materials. What strategies are being used at different colleges to inform students about OER textbook requirements for classes? Join us for a discussion of how to work with your bookstore to ensure timely and accurate communication about OER resources. This webinar is for OER Liaisons only.

This webinar is designed for OER Liaisons but is open to all.
- Thursday, April 25, 1:00 PM: Printing Solutions for OER Archived Webinar Links to an external site.
- OER is free digitally but what options and are available when students (and instructors) prefer print versions? Sometimes print is needed for accessibility accommodation. Challenges and solutions for printing will be covered with specific examples from CCCs. This webinar is designed for OER Liaisons but is open to all.
