Linking Quest/Readiness Program in Academic Courses
The easiest way to make the Quest for Online Success/Readiness Program easily accessible to students throughout the term is by creating a link to you college's version of Quest from inside your academic course. Here are the instructions for a variety of LMSs:
For schools using Canvas college wide and for all OEI courses taught in Canvas
- Login to Canvas and navigate to your OEI course
- On the left Navigation pane, click on Settings
- Now click on the Apps tab, a list of external apps that can be added to Canvas will be displayed. You can search (filter by name) for the Redirect Tool. It is a blue arrow. Click on it for an explanation of how it works
- Now click on the “Add App” button.
- The Name should be something like “Quest for Online Success”
- The URL Redirect is the URL of your school's Quest course or section if your school has created individual sections for each OEI course.
- I would recommend selecting the two top options: “Force open in a new tab (For External Links only) and “Show in Course Navigation”
For schools who have not yet adopted Canvas college wide, here are instructions for adding a link to Quest inside other LMSs.
