Linking Quest/Readiness Program in Academic Courses

The easiest way to make the Quest for Online Success/Readiness Program easily accessible to students throughout the term is by creating a link to you college's version of Quest from inside your academic course.  Here are the instructions for a variety of LMSs:

For schools using Canvas college wide and for all OEI courses taught in Canvas

  1. Login to Canvas and navigate to your OEI course
  2. On the left Navigation pane, click on Settings
  3. Now click on the Apps tab, a list of external apps that can be added to Canvas will be displayed. You can search (filter by name) for the Redirect Tool. It is a blue arrow.  Click on it for an explanation of how it works
  4. Now click on the “Add App” button.
  5. The Name should be something like “Quest for Online Success”
  6. The URL Redirect is the URL of your school's Quest course or section if your school has created individual sections for each OEI course.
  7. I would recommend selecting the two top options: “Force open in a new tab (For External Links only) and “Show in Course Navigation”

For schools who have not yet adopted Canvas college wide, here are instructions for adding a link to Quest inside other LMSs.
