A starfish uses its hundreds of small suction cup tube feet to move towards a pinkish sea anemone. This is a sea anemone called Stomphia coccinea.
When the starfish touches the anemone, it begins to elongate and compress its column body to loosen its grip from its substrate. Then the anemone rocks back and forth prying itself from its anchorage and swims away in a wiggle motion. Not all sea anemones have mobility.
