4. Not All Health Related Programs Are Selective for Admission

Within the community college, health care programs tend to be very popular and selective.  At the university, however, it varies.  Click on the impaction matrix Links to an external site. for the Cal State system to get an idea of which programs are selective (impacted) for admission.  When a program is impacted, it means there are more applicants than there is space and selection criteria is implemented.  Your students counselor can provide details as to what that impaction is and how to prepare to be a competitive student.
