Unit 0 Now You Try: Create Sandbox
- Due No Due Date
- Points None
Overview
A "sandbox," or course shell without any students, is a great place to play around with ideas as you work on designing your online course. Canvas allows anyone working in education to create a free sandbox on the Instructure Canvas server. The sandbox you create on the Instructure Canvas server is where you will do the hands-on assignments for this class.
Note that this assignment assumes you have already created a free user account on the Instructure Canvas server.
Instructions
Create a course on the Instructure Canvas server. Feel free to give it a name that makes sense to you (e.g., "HIST125 Sandbox") and click in the check box to make the course publicly available; if you want to be able to share it. As this is a sandbox you probably will want to keep its copyright private. Once you click the button to Create course, the browser window will refresh to the home page for your sandbox.
Note: Another option is to keep your course private and allow self-enrollment to the course Links to an external site.. After the course has ended, you can un-enroll users Links to an external site..
