For this Discussion Board, respond to the set of questions below for Stanton’s text. Remember that you CAN USE anything from this DB in your Essay 3, so really use this DB to critically reflect on the text and to think ahead to a potential argument/thesis for Essay 3.
Simply include your responses in sentence form. You do not need to copy the questions into your post. You can just number your responses. For example, you could format it like this:

PART 1: Responding to the Stanton reading
Answer all of the following questions:
- What, to you, is the most important argument that Stanton makes? Include a specific quote from the text and explain your reasoning.
- Is there anything in Stanton's text that is confusing or that you would like clarification on? Explain and provide quotes as necessary.
- Stanton’s Declaration is over 165 years old. Have all of the issues she raised been satisfactorily resolved? If not, which ones remain? Use at least one piece of evidence from the Women's Suffrage material in this module to support your claim.
PART 2: Responding to your peers
Respond to TWO of your peers’ discussion board responses, reflecting on your peers’ responses to the questions from the Stanton text. Your responses to your peers should total at least 100 words each and thoughtfully and thoroughly reflect on your peers’ insights into Stanton’s text.
To reply to a peer, click on the "Reply" link below his or her thread. Respond to two peers who have yet to receive a response by a classmate. If everyone's response has been answered, respond to the ones with the least amount of responses. For example, if every student has at least one response, then respond to the students who only have one or two responses instead of those who have 5 or 6 already.
In order to critique a peer, you must first write your own paragraph. You will only be able to see your classmates' work after you have submitted your own post.
To reply to a peer, click "Reply" under their post, type your reply in the text box and click "Post Reply."
Submission and Grading
To reply to the discussion, click reply on the main instruction page. Type your paragraph into the text submission box and click "Post Reply."
To earn a "Complete" (Passing) on this assignment, students must:
- Post an initial response that meets all the prompt requirements
- Respond thoughtfully to two peers
- Compose mostly error-free sentences
Remember, for Discussions, you must pass:
- 6 out of 9 for Grade Goal "C"
- 7 out of 9 for Grade Goal "B"
- 8 out of 9 for Grade Goal "A"

The student has command and control over the language. The syntax (sentence structure) is varied and accurate. There are no comma splices, run-ons, apostrophe errors, errors in subject/verb agreement, or capitalization errors. There are also few or no proofreading mistakes or typos.
