Things at Peach are not peachie. A needs assessment has determined that the students, the faculty, and the community at large find the college’s array of general education offerings overwhelming. Everyone believes that there are too many options and there are many disconnects. For example, some of the local general education courses do not transfer and some of the transferable general education courses fill different areas of the local general education. The students threaten to pass a vote of no confidence in the curriculum committee and the senate if drastic steps are not taken to cull the college’s offerings.
