  • Explain the arguments for and against dualism.
  • Analyze the arguments put forth by Churchland.
  • Debate the ideas presented by Churchalnd.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of mind body dualism.
  • Communicate ideas in the video and reading to your classmates.

Question #8:

List some typical properties of minds that differ from the properties of bodies. Does it seem as though these differences are enough to establish that the mind and the body are different things? Do you agree with any of Churchland's arguments for dualism? If so, what argument is most compelling and why?
