Uploading a File
- Log into your 3CMedia account Links to an external site..
- You should now be on the “Welcome, Ara” screen. Near the top, below the 3CMedia banner, is a horizontal navigation menu.
- Click the Media link.
- If you would like to organize your files in folders, click the Create Folder button. If you just want files all together, skip to Step 5.
- Click the Add/Upload Media button.
- Select the Upload a video to 3CMedia Solutions radio button (even if it's an audio file). Then click Next.
NOTE: If your video is in your YouTube account, select the A Video Already on YouTube radio button instead. - You must supply a title for the video. The License and Description fields are optional. You must also check the box agreeing to the terms and conditions. Then click Next.
- On the next screen, click the Select File button and browse to find your video (or audio) file on your computer.
- Wait while the system processes the upload. Depending on the file size, this could take a while. (Leave this window open while the upload is in progress.)
- The page will automatically refresh and indicate once the upload is complete.
Requesting Captioning
- Once the file upload has been posted, the status will change from Uploaded to Available.
- Once available, click on the "Details and Options" link.
- From there, click the Submit for Captioning option.
You'll receive a notification once the captioning is completed. Then you can come back to this same page and get the HTML code for embedding the video in Canvas.
