What MODEL ACTIVITY could we use?

Below is an example of one activity you may use or tailor to your local campus or district to begin designing a DELIBERATIONS PROCESS for equity, diversity, and inclusion in hiring:

Evaluation Criteria and Rubrics for Discussion

1. Set aside more time than usual to establish evaluation criteria, based in the job description and in particular the knowledge, skills, and abilities related to performing the job
2. Develop a rubric for deliberation dialogue based on the criteria above
3. Be mindful of implicit bias in yourself and disrupt bias by practicing calling-in with your colleagues
