Getting Started with your Liquid Syllabus

Your goal:

This course is designed to support you with creating an accessible, equity-minded "Liquid Syllabus" using a Google Site.

What you need to be successful:

A Liquid Syllabus can be created with any website creation tool. For this course, however, you will use Google Sites. 

To follow the steps in this course and create your Liquid Syllabus, you will need:

  1. An existing course syllabus that you will adapt into a Google Site;
  2. A willingness to analyze the cues in your existing syllabus language and modify your content to ensure it fosters a sense of belonging for all students;
  3. A Google account. Please take a moment now to either:
    1. Create a Google account Links to an external site. or
    2. Sign in to your existing Google account Links to an external site. to verify that you remember the email and password;
  4. A brief, 2-3 minute welcome video with accurate captions that is hosted on YouTube and set to either Unlisted or Public visibility
