A good place to start your involvement with the open community is the ASCCC Open Educational Resources Initiative (OERI) Links to an external site.Weekly webinars Links to an external site. throughout the academic year "provide a forum to share discipline-based information as well as information on specific topics related to OER advocacy, adoption, and development." Also check out the OERI resources page Links to an external site., especially the OERI funded projects Links to an external site. as they were created for use in CCC courses.

The Creative Commons Global Affiliate Network Links to an external site.includes over 500 volunteers and community members who serve as CC representatives in over 85 countries.

CCCOER Links to an external site. is a growing consortium of community and technical colleges committed to expanding access to education and increasing student success through adoption of open educational policy, practices, and resources. 

The Open Education Group Links to an external site. is an interdisciplinary research group that (1) conducts original, rigorous, empirical research on the impact of OER adoption on a range of educational outcomes and (2) designs and shares methodological and conceptual frameworks for studying the impact of OER adoption. We also teach courses in topics relating to open education.
